The ideal candidate would have functional expertise of all CRO tools/ Systems. The key responsibilities of the positions will include: - Drive the management of existing Technology &amp; Business Systems that support project activities, - Drive education and training of staff on business solution applications - Drive the discovery, selection, and implementation of potential Business Systems &amp; Applications. - Functional expert to company staff on existing Business Systems &amp; Applications. - Responsible for managing required documentation for all relevant stages of service delivery such as system/version upgrade evaluation, implementation, testing and training. - Providing support to our existing applications like Clinical Trial Management System, Learning Management System, Project Finance System &amp; Safety Management System as well as any new applications. - Work closely with Functional heads and users globally to support their business application needs. - Actively participate and/or drive the development and maintenance of standards and processes relating to Business Solutions activities. - Drive the Business solution team towards the on-time support and delivery. - Responsible for managing appropriate knowledge transfer and upskilling the team on new product rollouts. - Responsible for the day-to-day activities of the Business Solutions team and guidance to the team members. - Monitor and set KPI's for the team and provide relevant guidance to the team to achieve them Business Systems &amp; Applications : - Assist and/or drive management of existing Applications across company in support of project activities. - Drive new user creation/updates, new project creation/updates, and other administrative requests/changes to existing systems - Co-ordinate periodic system reviews to ensure complete and accurate data is recorded - Oversee accurate and up to date paper and electronic files for Business Solutions activities - Governance of the Business Solution project deliveries across all locations - Liaise with the respective Functional heads across locations on regular basis to understand their requirements /Queries and determine suitable solution(s) - Evaluate new applications as required and submit the business case with the justification - Publish the Business report on monthly basis to Global head for IT and Business solutions - Participate in global client audits to provide necessary support to the Global Quality team on the Business Solutions applications and processes - Liaise with respective functional areas regarding change management activities associated with changes in business solution applications. Evaluate and plan installation, testing and deployment of new version upgrades to ensure smooth transition. - Set and implement/enforce standards, policies and ensure compliance in relation to technology, quality, application security &amp; risk management. Validate these on regular intervals to ensure currency with applicable industry and company standards. - Actively participate and/or drive the development and maintenance of standards and processes relating to Business Solutions activities. - Control and recommend Business Solutions budgets by coordinating with the application vendors related to license renewal, new license procurement etc... - Assist and/or drive testing of new systems during implementation and system upgrade/enhancements and ensure relevant documentation is compiled in a timely manner (e.g. testing plan and test result report) - Functional expert to company project staff for Business Solution &amp; Application related activities. - Drive and/or manage the provision of timely and effective systems support to project staff via Business Solutions - helpdesk- and/or another communication medium (e.g. IM, Phone call etc.). - Assist and/or deliver new starter induction and ongoing training of existing staff on Business solution applications where required. In addition, ensure Business Solution team members are training on ongoing basis on any new changes impacting their responsibilities. - Develop and/or review administrator and end-user training materials on yearly basis or as required to ensure all materials remain current. - Maintain and update Business Solutions Operations Manual-, as required. - Prepare and co-ordinate stakeholder surveys to track Business Solutions performance; summarise results and prepare recommendations to present to the stakeholder The ideal candidate will possess: - Previous experience in the application of systems in support of clinical trials, and a good knowledge of the inputs to clinical trials. - Proven management experience of at least 2 years either as a line manager or delivery team manager - Good understanding of current ICH/GCP, ethical and regulatory requirements - Strong working knowledge of EU GDPR and other applicable data privacy laws - A proven ability to organise, take initiative and follow up independently - Previous experience working in the clinical research industry - Sound knowledge of business analysis processes - Strong analytical ability to solve problems and suggest highly effective processes and solutions. - Technological proficiency including MS Suite - Excel (advanced), Word, Outlook, Project), and the Internet. - Ability to see the big picture, yet still focus on detail and quality of work - Ability to be flexible and adaptable in the face of changing organizational priorities and ambiguous environments - Demonstrated understanding of the importance of quality and accuracy - Understanding of the regulatory requirements for implementing and validating clinical systems - Effective communication and excellent interpersonal skills with ability to manage a wide range of diverse stakeholders - Well organised with good time management skills and demonstrated ability to prioritise work to meet deadlines. - Ability to be flexible and adaptable in the face of changing organisational priorities and ambiguous environments
