POSITION OVERVIEW:
- This role is a key contributor to the Power & Water Solutions for excitation and electrical business in Asia Pacific. The role is responsible for the business development, marketing and proposal support for excitation and electrical content.
- The position will report to Senior Director- Sales, PWS Asia Pacific & Director- Marketing & Proposal, GEC, Noida
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Thorough Knowledge of synchronous generator and its different variants.
- Thorough knowledge of excitation system types and its components.
- Familiar with the calculation of thyristor bridge, breakers, bus-ducts, cables, excitation transformer etc.
- Familiar with the calculation of misc. components like field flashing circuit, crowbar circuit, discharge circuit including discharge resistor, protection circuit, NGR, LAVT cubicle etc.
- Clear understanding of limiters and PSS structure and its modelling.
- Shall understand selection of snubber circuit/filer circuit/DC choke as per application.
- Familiar with competitor excitation system and its product line with clear understanding of SWOT
- Understand the external & internal customer requirements and technical solutions/answers for the requirements.
- Familiar with market trends of excitation systems and various electrical interface protocols
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of generator protection, transformer protection and synchronizing system.
- Able to present offering to the customers in Marketing Events, users conference, trade show, seminar, individual customer events etc.
- Analyze the customer feedbacks to generate sales lead
- Create the yearly business development plan and marketing plan for Asia pacific.
- Generate and implement ideas for cost reduction.
- Vendor management as well as new vendor identification and development.
- Organizing training to Sales & Proposal Team
- Able to create sales opportunities/funnel with various end users, OEM and LBP in Asia Pacific
- Shall be able to generate excitation solutions and able to convince customers for offered solutions
- Shall be able to do value Based Technical Selling
- Shall be able to make business plan of excitation system and to achieve/exceed sales target in Asia Pacific
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's / Master's degree in Electrical/Electrical & Electronics with minimum 8-10 years of experience with mandatory experince in excitation system/protection system/synchronizing Sales, business development, Proposal, and engineering/commissioning.
