Base Location - Delhi (Jasola)/ Gurgaon/ Chennai/ Mumbai (Andheri East)

Reporting Manager - DGM

Job Purpose : The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving business growth and developing strategic customer relationships in the Tech, Consumer Durables & Telecom/Retail/Chemical sector. Will be responsible for identifying and capitalizing on business opportunities, expanding the client base, and establishing DP World as a preferred logistics partner for customers. The role requires a deep understanding of the sector's trends, strong sales and negotiation skills, and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients

Roles & Responsibilities :

Business Development Objectives :

- The primary goal is to expand our customer base, increase market share, and achieve revenue targets as per budget

- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline by proactively identifying and engaging potential clients through various channels such as cold calling, networking events, industry conferences, and referrals.

- Ensure that the sales cycle of each opportunity is managed through CRM with regular

- Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients, highlighting the unique value propositions and benefits of our logistics services

- Provide regular sales forecasts, reports, and insights to the management team, highlighting key performance metrics, sales achievements, and areas for improvement

- Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with clients, ensuring profitability while meeting customer requirements and market standards

Customer Delight :

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, customer service, and finance, to ensure smooth onboarding and seamless delivery of services to clients. Take part in MBRs and QBRs with customers

- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in the technology and consumer durables sector, including senior executives, supply chain managers, and procurement officers

- Market study to understand customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape, and use this information to develop tailored business development strategies

Qualifications & Competencies :

- Proven track record of successfully driving business growth and achieving sales targets in the logistics or related industry, with at least 8-10 years of experience

- Relevant logistics expertise within identified sub sectors - Tech, Consumer Durables and Telecom/ Chemical/ Retail

- Strong sales and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport, persuade and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex logistics solutions in a clear and compelling manner

- Self-motivated and results-oriented mindset, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, target-driven environment

- Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools to manage leads, track sales activities, and generate reports

- Flexibility to travel as needed to meet clients, attend industry events, and explore new business opportunities
