The company's client base is primarily centered in the US, Canada, the UK, and Germany. The company's center of excellence for engineering is located in Mumbai, India.
In North America, the company operates through its subsidiaries for general engineering services and STEP Engineering Inc. for EPCM services in the oil and gas industry. The company is also present in Raleigh, NC, and focuses on end-to-end product development for medical devices and consumer electronics products.
Job Responsibilities & Skills:
The Business Development Manager will develop relationships with target customers to penetrate the organization and open doors to new business opportunities throughout North America. The ideal candidate will deploy an account strategy in agreement with Management in order to achieve the aims and objectives set for EDS.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop new customers for the business in Electronics Design Services.
2. Accountable for meeting and exceeding sales revenues targets set by Management.
3. Identify, qualify, and close new business in line with set quotas and engage appropriate resources from cross-functional teams to ensure successful business execution.
4. Identify potential clients in the target market and complete appropriate research on the prospective client's business and design needs
5. Own and manage related RFQs and act as prime in ensuring timely response delivery and feed information back into Management in support of developing Business Plans.
6. Develop relationships with prospective clients, while maintaining existing client relationships
7. Regularly update sales tool with customer data, new opportunity logs, and call plans.
8. Become a subject matter expert on our business products, processes, and operations, and remain up-to-date on industry news
Education and Experience:
1. Bachelor's / Master's degree in Electronics/Computer Science/SW Engineering
2. 10+ years of sales, and commercial experience successfully exceeding quota
3. Must have prior experience selling electronics design services, especially in the North American market
3. Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
4. Strong organizational skills with an excellent ability to prioritize, multi-task, and organize
4. Demonstrated achievement in B2B sales
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access and industry-specific analysis software
6. Basic understanding of the industry, with the ability to become a subject matter expert on the job
