Business Development Manager

- Our client is a leading player in B2B lending platform operating within the $1 Trillion shipping industry and their presence across globe.

- Our client is seeking a Business Development Manager who has good charisma and loves to win deals.

- He/She will also be a close and trusted member of the core management team.

- This role is ideal for someone who has the right mix of passion, energy and experience to build a new digital business in the maritime sector.

- The ideal candidate is business savvy, has an entrepreneurial spirit and innovative nature, and a solid network in the maritime industry.

Role & Responsibilities :

- Develop an understanding of the existing business (including products/services, customers, competitors, the overall market and trends) of Organization.

- Pro-actively identify & develop profitable new opportunities, through existing and potential clients to generate increased revenue and market share.

- Expand company's presence in strategic markets.

- Develop new business opportunities and establish more business relationships with different makers to broaden the scope of service coverage for our service team for the best interest of the Company.

- Develop sales strategies and action plans for new businesses.

- To develop and maintain excellent working relationship with market participants (brokers, traders owners/operators/shippers/receivers, and freight) to ensure the organisation is strategically positioned to take advantage of opportunities as they emerge.

- Studying existing competitor solutions.

Qualification & Experience :

- Three to four years of experience within the maritime or trade finance sector, in a bank, fund or other financial institution. Experience working in a FinTech firm would be a plus.

- Knowledge of Finance or Economics of Business loans, amongst the freight or trading industry is a slight advantage

- Excellent business and commercial acumen with a can-do attitude

- Superior spoken and written English

- Reliable IT skills
