Manager - Business Architecture - BFS

Designing strategy and operating models in financial services

Independently deliver small projects or a portion of large projects along with as a project manager or an individual contributor and run them to key project deliverables, including ensuring requisite quality and timelines

Knowledge and Expertise :

- Has built good understanding of organizational strategies and operating models in the financial services space, especially in insurance and related businesses

- Develops expertise in an aspect of business, product/service and the needs of the assigned client or account.

Job Complexity :

- Work is complex and requires judgment to arrive at often path breaking and innovative solutions to problems. May require leveraging experience within and/or outside of the organization to identify solutions.

- Interprets internal or external business issues and recommends solutions.

- Is viewed by the stakeholders as a strategy and operating model expert and is often the 'Go ' to" person for complex / sensitive issues in an area of expertise.

Client Relationships / Communication Skills :

- Adapts style and uses persuasion in delivering messages.

- Issues may be complex or audience perspectives may be divergent or information may be non-routine in nature and requires negotiation to influence outcomes

- Involved in managing client relationships and grow it further over a period of time

People Management and Strategic Impact :

- May directly or indirectly influence people in own project/field

- Position may require leading a team and coordination of activities of less experienced or less knowledgeable team members. May have appraisal responsibilities.

Financial Impact - No direct / indirect accountability to functional budget or costs. Supports in cost management through achievement of functional goals and leading process improvements

Framework & Boundaries :

- Work is dependent on projects that are allocated to the team from time to time

- Authority as delegated by sponsor of the project with respect to cost, time, scope

- Delivery as per agreed and defined operating standards

Geographical Impact - Multi Function + Multi division + Multi Business Unit + Global

Education : (degree / diploma) - Post-Graduation/MBA from a premier business school

Experience :

- 5 - 7 years of experience in management consulting - post MBA

- Experience in designing strategy and operating models in financial services

- Global experience

- Insurance industry experience (Desirable)
