Job Description:

Business Analytics Manager

The Business Analytics Manager has responsibility to operationalize the Business Analytics strategy, analytics and reporting for the organization and work with the BI team in enabling their roadmap (implementation of reporting & dashboards).

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Working with internal stakeholders and cross-functional business customers to gather requirements for data modeling, reporting design, analytics and BA system development and improvement activities

- Managing the team that supplies root cause analysis for out-of-tolerance conditions, and recommends activities to reduce occurrences or variability

- Ensures that metrics and analysis are easy to understand, easy to manipulate by end users, and maintains a tie to global common definitions of supply chain metrics

- Ensures that high quality, flexible, scalable data modeling, BA development, system integration and coding standards are utilized

- Works with the BI team or MDM team to ensure that data is clean and consistent, and that exceptions cleansing and maintenance is an ongoing process

- Builds, designs and implements business Analytics processes and strategy

- Aligns strategy with overall business and long-term IT strategy

- Project management for BA & BI initiatives

- Liaison between information technology and business communities for delivering cross-functional reporting solutions across the enterprise

- Direct the team in gathering facts (primary/secondary data), analyzing our business (competitors, customers, markets, value propositions, operational models, etc.), drawing conclusions, preparing final reports/business cases and giving presentations

- Team with senior management to develop business Analytics processes aligned with long-term information/business strategy.

- Look for opportunities for application of value added Analytics into new areas within LII

- Responsible for successful delivery of Advanced Analytics solutions and services; experience in optimization (linear, mixed integer, constraint programming), simulation, and/or predictive analytics using Advanced Analytics and Optimization tools

- Recommend and develop annual BA budget and CAPEX requirements.

- Ensure Team utilization & opportunities for growth for the team.

Education:

- Undergraduate degree in business, technology, supply chain or industrial engineering, Operations Research, Physics, Finance

- Post Graduate in Business Administration, Operations, Business Analytics

- Minimum 10 years working with Business Analytics applications and toolsets

- Minimum 5 years working with Supply chain/ Supply chain business systems; 2 years other areas (Marketing / Finance/ Engineering)

Skills / Requirements:

- Understanding business problems & converting them to analytics needs/ statements

- Business case development

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; this includes clearly and concisely communicating with multiple levels and understanding what is important to the audience demonstrated with strong questioning and listening skills.

- Ability to prepare executive level presentations/communications.

- Strong project management skills - Ability to develop and execute project plans; communicates to team members, and manages multiple projects simultaneously
