3.Experience/skill requirements
Candidate must have experience and exposure to analytics and market research in previous job role, preferably with understanding of e-commerce and online retail or e-tail logistics
Ability to quickly grasp market trends, changes in consumer and competitor environment to help the business form a view of market shaping events and forces
Ability to work with large volumes of data to analyze and derive critical insights on performance and market share relative to other players and historical analysis (MS Excel, MS Access, databases etc.)
Knowledge and understanding of e-tail market, evolving customer needs, new products/services required and customer contacts in industry
Driven, result focused with excellent oral and written communication skills
Well-developed entrepreneurial sense and strong network building skills
Dynamic, move and improve mindset and track record of working with multiple stakeholders and teams to drive impact
Experience with large, fast growing organizations and customers
4.Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities
Strategic
Responsible for B2C market research and analytics of customers, competition and to develop a point of view on market shaping forces
Ensure the timely conduct of various market research and market intelligence studies for effective decision making including reports on the following:
Macroeconomic indicators and external business environment for B2C
Global and Indian B2C industry
Competitor-wise reports
Customer-wise analysis and reports
Regulatory trends etc.
Historical and current analysis of B2C business to identify trends
Undertake analysis required for B2C management to take strategic calls on product, customers, regions and pricing
Ensure conduct of product specific research in terms of market potential, competitor activities, competitor pricing, competitor services etc. and forward the same to the respective product head
Financial
Analyze product, region and geography wise profitability and revenue growth; help identify sources of incremental revenue and margin
Give inputs on strategic pricing structure and revisions as per account needs and competitor pricing by conducting required analysis
Operational
Collaborate with operations team to improve service delivery as per customer expectation, - undertake required analytics to understand gaps in current service level, past trends and scope for improvement
People
Mentor and coach subordinates to develop the team's capabilities and build a robust succession pipeline
Ensure high level of employee engagement and retention of key performers
