B2B Sales Manager- AgriTech Startup


Job Description:

Farmtheory, a YCombinator-backed B2B agri-tech startup, is looking for an experienced Sr Sales Manager to join our team. As a key member of the core team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth by acquiring new B2B clients across the agritech, restaurant, hospitality, hotels, and related industries. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing sales strategies, and building strong relationships with key decision-makers.

About FarmTheory:

We are on a bold mission to make a better food system that would curb food waste, increase farmer income, and give everyone access to healthy affordable produce.

Farmtheory is now 150 people strong and one of the largest, fastest-growing b2b fresh-produce delivery brands in Bangalore, backed by Y Combinator, Japanese and Indian Angels and prominent Indian VCs. We have just closed a multimillion dollar pre-series A round and are looking to unlock the next level of scale and expand to Indian and Oversees geographies. We have been working with a lean team until now, and are now looking to build a core team who can directly work with Founders and drive their functions independently with a Growth Strategy

Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute a sales strategy to drive new business growth and revenue.

- Identify and target new B2B clients across the agritech, restaurant, hospitality, hotels, and related industries and conduct F2F meetings when required

- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, including owners, operators, and purchasing managers.

- Conduct market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities and stay abreast of industry trends.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, and customer service, to ensure successful client onboarding and ongoing satisfaction.

- Prepare and deliver presentations and proposals to clients that effectively communicate Farmtheory's value proposition.

- Negotiate contracts and pricing with clients to maximize revenue and profitability.

- Monitor and analyze sales performance data to identify opportunities for improvement and course-correct as necessary.

- Build and manage a high-performing sales team as the business grows.

Qualifications:

- 4+ years of experience in B2B sales, with a proven track record of success in driving sales growth and acquiring new clients.

- Experience in the agritech, restaurant, hospitality, hotels, or related industries strongly preferred.

- Strong network and relationships with decision-makers in the industry.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.

- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute sales strategies that drive growth and revenue.

- Highly analytical and data-driven, with the ability to analyze sales performance data and use insights to drive continuous improvement.

- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close deals and maximize revenue and profitability.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on collaboration and results
