Manager/AVP/Vice President - Finance Systems Operations (FMG Ops)

Opportunity for an Accountant / IT staff with an experience in financial services and an interest in Finance Systems, to join our Global Finance Services arm. There will be plenty of opportunity for someone to use their initiative in managing the expansion of Finance Systems Operations team, and to also improve processes and enhance the scope of the team's service offerings.

Location : Gurgaon

You will be responsible for :

- Own and managing wide range of Finance Systems in a BFSI domain

- Proficiency in systems for Regulatory Reporting and general BI (reporting tools) such as axion, MS BI etc.

- Manage the onshore-offshore landscape - identify potential expansion opportunities

- Stakeholder management that will include liaison, relationship building and negotiation skills with Finance leaders, COG Tech support and development staff, and external vendors

- Providing consultancy and driving change programs/projects that involve system change (including communications, facilitating trainings, etc.)

- Continuously identify productivity initiatives to improve the quality and meeting the Operational Excellence targets

- Includes good grasp of Policy & compliance management, Access management, Query resolution (including Root Cause analysis), Business continuity, Operational risk management and issue escalation

- Displays sound judgment in decisions, demonstrates logical thinking process and being able to strike the right balance between controls and business needs

- Accountable for team compliance with the financial control framework

- High standards of quality in work, and timeliness of deliverables to meet SLA / KPIs

- Right team sizing and skills to enable fit for purpose delivery

People management : Lead the team and provide support to junior team members to enhance their knowledge and effectiveness and to manage their careers

To be successful in this role you will have :

- Degree qualification in either Accounting / Finance or Engineering/Information Technology with extensive experience of managing Finance IT systems and applications

- Minimum 12+ years of post qualification experience

- RTB and CTB experience is mandatory and RTB being preferable.

- Specialized SME knowledge on Finance Systems. Expert knowledge of TM1 will be an added advantage

- Sound knowledge of the Financial/Banking Services industry, products & Shared Services operating models

- Knowledge of SQL and database relationships

- Strong communication skills are required as the role will involve interaction with clients & colleagues at various levels; ability to engage senior stakeholders

- Proven technical and analytical skills, backed by attention to detail and sound judgement

- Good analytical and problem solving skills

- Strong MS Office skills; particularly MS Excel

- Exposure to process improvement and project management methodologies is preferred
