JOB TITLE: Manager/AVP (Software Delivery) LOCATION: Mumbai TEAMS: Development, Testing, OCR &amp; Others DIRECT REPORTS: Principal/Technical Architects TEAM SIZE: 50+ Engineers &amp; Business Analysts in Mumbai MAIN JOB FUNCTION This position would entail responsibility for delivery of projects ensuring they are adequately resourced and deliver on time meeting high technical quality standards. The position will lead all development effort in close liaison and cooperation with US Technical team which involve occasional travel to US for coordination with higher management ACCOUNTABILITIES &amp; AUTHORITIES - Ensure on time delivery of development projects with proper documentation and logs - Validate and issue estimates for new projects, also update and report on the development roadmap - Work with US team on Technical Architecture and percolate the same within team/s - Oversee QA, UAT, and beta test programs and manage the outsource relationships with Indian vendors - Direct and assist technical team with planning, scheduling and budgeting new projects and provide an escalation point for the team. - Use good project management technology to reduce development life cycle and improve development team's throughput and vendor management. - Identify and implement formal processes as needed in current development efforts - Provide technical guidance and mentoring to team members and ensure strong communication conduits between developers and TAs - Engage in active team-building, hiring and retaining top talent.. - Track performance management and appraisals of development team. Qualifications Required Candidate must have expertise in the management of software development projects, from desktop-bound products to full server-side applications, including web/mobile based technologies (Microsoft Platform). Candidate must be extremely well-versed in Microsoft development tools, server products, and operating systems. The position seeks extensive experience in co-ordinating multiple projects assigned to Technical Architects, ensuring on-time and to-budget delivery of these projects. This experience should translate to a strong technically capable leader, who is able to motivate, coach and champion development efforts. Essential - Skills / Qualifications and Experience - BE/B.Tech, MS, M.Tech in Software/Computer Science. MBA would be added advantage. - 12+ years of Software Development Experience on MS products including 5+ years of managing people with hands on technology approach. - Good Exposure to resource management, Project Planning and Management and interacting with global players. - Adept at understanding legacy systems and end-to-end experience managing SDLC. - Skillful in communicating difficult/complex information with Clarity - Confident personality with ability to manage people directly and indirectly. Desirable - Skills / Qualifications and Experience - Preferably from product development company with good analytic, design, development, prototyping, testing and implementation skills - Strong Software architecture and design skills necessary to support a SaaS service delivery.
