Learning & Development, Training & Development Manager/AVP
Knowledge / Experience:
- Minimum of five years’ experience in a banking / learning & development environment.
- Good knowledge of learning and development principles.
- Competent in instructional design.
- Experience of delivering training to various levels within an organisation.
- Adult learning and technology based learning.
- Experience of using on-line systems to manage data and generate meaningful MIS.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Focus: (Internal and External)
- Ensure that all learning and development deliverables / queries / requests are delivered on time and to the highest standard.
- Develop and maintain good client relationships.
- Identify skill gaps on an on-going basis and design / amend training material and assessments accordingly using the most appropriate learning interventions.
- Remain informed of business strategy changes and of new policy, process and technology enhancements and develop necessary training material.
Operational Excellence:
- Drive learning and development best practice improvement projects that assist the business in meeting operation and service targets.
- Measure efficiency, effectiveness and return on investment of the learning and development strategy for the business.
- Streamline, consolidate and standardise learning and development processes where possible.
- Create instructor-led materials, web based trainings and tools to provide complete training offering required for case managers, checkers and other specialised roles.
Talent Development:
- Introduce learning interventions that assist in retaining key talent and building a pipeline of talent.
- Ensure that staff is equipped with the requisite skills and knowledge to perform to operational management standards.
- Support the execution of CADD BSU Talent strategy.
Other:
- Establish and maintain external vendor relationships via Service Level Agreements.
- Ensure all learning events are tracked via GLMS and generate meaningful and user-friendly MIS.
- Marketing and communications for all Learning and Development team activities / initiatives.
