- The Manager will support the full lifecycle of new business opportunities, starting from generating leads to submission of proposal.

- The Manager will report directly to the Partner and will be responsible for leading business development process for specific opportunities, serving as the capture lead for pre and post tender activities.

- The manager will also be responsible for guiding the technical teams through business development processes and procedures in accordance with industry best practices and client requirements.

- This role will involve coordinating tasks to meet timelines, identifying and collaborating with partners/sub contractors/subject matter experts and representing the firm to external stakeholders including clients.

- International development experience and experience of working with key multilateral/bilateral organizations that brings the field perspective is a key differentiator for this position.

Specific roles and responsibilities are:

- Networking, research and competition analysis to inform strategic decisions

- Maintain track of relationships, external and internal coordination, leads and opportunities for the allocated accounts

- Pipeline management, bid preparations, internal reviews, reporting and decision making

- Serve as capture lead for specific business opportunities, develop and maintain capture budget

- Market tracking and intelligence on upcoming opportunities (globally and in India)

- Maintain and update business plan, which directs the strategy, hot button issues, win themes, partnerships and solution design

- Establish and maintain relationships with partners/sub-contractors and clients (multilateral and bilateral donor organizations/ development financial institutions

- Secure partnerships with technical leads, firms, organizations, subject matter experts and other stakeholders and negotiating with specific partners

- Review of tender documents, preparation of proposal templates, proposal schedules, outlines, trackers and development of technical and commercial proposal

- Support recruitment to ensure timely identification and onboarding of qualified personnel.

- Organize brainstorming/working sessions to develop solutions for the client and support resourcing initiatives to collect necessary market information/data

- Act as proposal manager for specific proposals and write non-technical proposal sections

- Organize and lead period calls/meetings/discussions with senior management on market intelligence and specific opportunities

- Identify, assess, resolve, and/or escalate critical issues as needed

Required Skills & Experience:

- Master's degree in relevant field such as management and international development

- 8-10 years of relevant and progressive work experience

- Experience of managing and developing large, complex proposals in response to RfP/ITTs issued by multilateral or bilateral organizations such as DFID, USAID, ADB, FCO, etc.

- Familiarity with the procurement processes and regulations of multilateral/bilateral agencies

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to write persuasive proposals and reports.

- Experience of communicating and networking with clients and key partners

- Past experience of working with a multilateral or bilateral organizations is preferred
