We have an urgent opening for Manager Profile into Audit for One of the Leading Banking and financial Industries

Key skills

(IT audit or IT auditing or system audit or system auditing or it control or system control) and sas

- These individuals will primarily support the Data Quality assessment dimension and take direction primarily from onshore E2E testing staff, with local oversight/administrative assistance provided by the Data Steward Forum Team Leader. Write SQL scripts and execute data, precision, and business process tests assigned utilizing office tools such as excel and access as well as SAS. Obtain requested raw data files from servers and via FTP through trillium server FTP site or direct server connections such as ODBC clients. Perform explorative data analysis to assess the existence and strength of controls on critical data elements and assess risks in the data. Assess the design of EUCs against best practices and firm mandates. Evaluate the existence and strength of controls expected for each EUC. Assess existence and reasonableness of each functional area’s validation and reconciliation procedures for each control point in the data transfer/transformation process from source to target. Document test plans and est results, e.g., LOB controls, data flows diagrams, etc.

Teamwork

- Liaise with onshore counterparts on report requirement and developing reports within the timelines agreed

- Ensure support is provided to as per requirement from onshore counterparts

- Ensure integrity and management of data submission

- Good teamwork skills are vital as an important aspect of the role concerns liaising with various teams in the Regulatory Reporting department

Operational Effectiveness & Control

- The ability to work to a high degree of accuracy under pressure is important as during the reporting periods the team is required to meet tight deadlines.

- Ability to prioritize and plan work in an efficient manner.

- Ensure seamless delivery on all the process level activities within timelines and maintain high quality standards. Focus on controls and continuous process improvements.

Understand Business Partner expectations / requirements ensure alignment to GFO objectives and deliver. Manage / Support business partner relationship effectively..

Skills/Experience Required:

- Audit or equivalent experience, involving transaction testing is required. For example, experience with Computer Assisted Audit Tools. Experience in cross-functional audits or equivalent - reviewing policies and procedures, interviewing stakeholders and evaluating business process risks and controls a plus. Experience in raw data analysis. Strong knowledge of SQL, Excel, and experience with MS Access. Good understanding of various data management/processing technologies; ability to reverse engineer and replicate the process. Audit or equivalent experience, involving transaction testing. For example, experience with Computer Assisted Audit Tools. Knowledge of SAS PC/UNIX and/or Trillium a plus. Any of the tools like QuestSoftware Toad or Embarcadero RapidSQL or DBArtisan a plus. Experience with Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) platforms such as Informatica a plus. Experience in implementation of information technology projects, including UAT Testing phase, is a plus – ideally, Basel II-related implementations.

Qualifications: An Accounting degree, bachelor’s degree or other qualifications relevant to the industry.

- MBA, CA, CWA, CS, CPA, CFA a plus.

EXperience: No of years as per GFC standards (Suggested 6+ years of experience)

Soft Skills:

- Team-working and experience working in a project environment and a flexible and adaptable working style to work with multiple project managers across multiple geographies

- Has experience in working in a global environment and ideally has worked internationally

- Ability to develop effective working relationships with stakeholders of different seniority and geographical location

- Strong attention to detail and being solution oriented

- Complex analytical reasoning skills enabling appraisal of the Global reporting requirements and translate into functional requirements for system development

- Strong communication skills and an ability to communicate complex ideas in a simple manner to a global audience

- Excellent planning and organizational skills with ability to adapt to changing situations and to understand issues quickly.

- A self-starting, independent worker who will take the initiative and progress the development and profile of this role.

- Outstanding verbal and written communications skills.

- Willing to challenge the status quo, be proactive and innovative in driving change

- Willing to travel extensively if needed

- Excellent working knowledge of MS related products i.e PowerPoint, Excel, Access

- Working knowledge of Banking systems and understanding of relevant regulatory reporting framework preferable
