Manager - Assurance - Big4

This is Apoorva from Recruise India Consulting. We have an opportunity with one of the BIG 4 firms for the role of Manager. Please find below details of the same.

The incumbent will be required demonstrate expertise on primary accounting framework (US GAAP, Other Domestic or IFRS), related financial reporting matters, GAM (General Audit Methodologies) and AWS (Audit Workspace). Should be able to balance multiple priorities by considering risk, importance, level of urgency, political impacts and other linkages. Good leadership, inter-personal skills, marketing skills and good acumen of client business is essential.

Your client responsibilities:

- Client Management - Lead role in execution of client service and to start serving as a Trusted Business Advisor.

- Create and manage good independent relationships with clients and enhance the market visibility.

- Leads and coordinates the planning and management of assignments, with guidance from the Partner. Managing engagement economics and Operational efficiency. Managing risk and independence issues on client engagements.

- Networking & Marketing - Generate additional work from existing clients and support in selling new client proposals. Start building networks across the firm – locally & internationally.

- Start contributing to Knowledge Management & thought leadership initiatives.

Your people responsibilities - as a Manager, you will

- To be a role model, mentor and coach committed to group training and development.

- Focus on People retention initiatives across levels

- Work with HR on Recruitment initiatives - Contributing in meeting people plan for the Group

Requirements

- Chartered Accountant (pref.)

- Expertise in Auditing and Accounting Standards, Methodologies, Statutory Audits, Indian GAAP and exposure in servicing clients in sectors like FMCG, Oil and Gas, Consumer Durables, IT, ITeS, Telecom, Media & Entertain.

- Should be able to manage independent relationships with clients and focus on business development, planning & managing assignments and managing teams

- Exposure to IFRS & US GAAP will be an added advantage

- 6 to 8 years of post – qualified experience in a consulting role with CA firms
