Job Description:

Title: Manager, Portfolio Credit (NM)

Role Summary/Purpose:

- As a Manager, the role will have the opportunity to work on major end-to-end analytical objectives related to the Amazon Portfolio, contributing to Credit objectives. Resource will have the opportunity to work with cross-functional teams and leverage state of the art tools (viz., SAS, Python, SAS Enterprise Miner, SAS Viya, SAS Studio) along with managing projects. The selected resource will provide key data patterns, insights and recommendations to drive Credit

- Acquisition and Acct Mgmt and fraud strategies, thereby improving P & L performance for the Amazon Portfolio. This position is remote, where you have the option to work from home. On occasion we may request for you to commute to our nearest office for in person engagement activities such as team meetings, training and culture events. Essential Functions / Responsibilities:

- Partnering with Portfolio Credit Managers(PCM's) to understand analytic needs and provide insight and recommendations to support portfolio growth and loss mitigation.

- Develop and support best-in-class analytic solutions/algorithms to identify key trends associated with Credit/ Fraud and help the business to deploy necessary strategies to prevent losses and/or promote smart growth.

- Work on multiple projects simultaneously. Manage projects independently.

- Communicate trends to Portfolio Credit Managers and senior leadership.

- Drive proactive monitorings through impactful dashboards and adhoc analyses.

- As such this role will develop the framework for how we monitor, measure and report the results of our strategies to business on regular basis.

- Provide swift actions to combat immediate issues as they occur.

Qualifications / Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree and minimum 3 years' of data analysis experience in retail, business or private label credit; or in lieu of a degree, 5 years of relevant experience listed.

- Minimum 2 years of experience in Credit/Fraud Strategy development or implementation.

- Demonstrated expert proficiency with SAS and/or SQL programming especially data extractions and ensuring data quality.

- Expert level proficiency with Excel

Desired Qualifications:

- Degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Business, and Statistics strongly preferred.

- Master's Degree desired

- Minimum 1 years of experience with operational and regulatory risk, and governance

- Superb communication skills and experience with interacting successfully at all levels within the organization.

- Ability to multitask and perform in a fast paced environment

- Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills.

- Experience with CDCI, RAMS, PDR and CLBP2 database a plus

- Proven ability to work with data sources, data warehouses and database tools.

- Proven ability to successfully manage and implement projects on time & on budget.

- Knowledge of US, Canadian credit bureau data
