Manager - Analytics - FMCG

Qualification & Experience

- BE/ B.Tech in computer science/IT

- PGDM in Analytics / Marketing

- Minimum of 3-5 years of work experience in handling predictive analytics projects and familiarity with business processes in FMCG space

- Experience in Digital Marketing Analytics, Social Media Analysis, Text Mining, and E-com business is preferred

- Experience of working in R/Python/SQL with the capability to design machine learning solutions

- Experience of providing End to End analytical solution to business problems

- Experience in working with Self Service BI Tools like Tableau, Qlick, Power BI etc

Key Deliverables of the Role

- The first deliverable of this role holder is to anchor analytics projects which harness the use of data and multiple databases in order to help generate meaningful insights for business results.

- Frequent interaction with the business to understand the impact of such data and analytics and built solutions to address the business problem

Towards this Manager will need to :

- Business Acumen: Knowledge of FMCG and understanding the business need and developing solutions accordingly

- Experience in Digital Analytics - Exposure in GA, Website Analytics, Text Mining, Social Listening, E-com Data and analytics

- Analyse and document the requirements 

- Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts in data from various internal and external sources (Neilsen, Social Media, E-com), decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and build models based on the same

- Communicate Requirements - Pro-actively communicate and collaborate with the business area experts and the technical team through artefacts like Business Requirements Document, Implementation requirement Document, Use cases, Wire-frames, Data model etc.

- Identify Solution - Work closely with the required teams to make a recommendation for a solution

- Verify that the Solution meets the Requirements - The person reviews the solution for usability issues and assures that the requirements are being satisfied and through suitable User acceptance Testing.

- Traveling may be required as part of the role

Functional Competencies:

- Comfort with handling and processing large datasets

- Expert knowledge of Maths and Statistics

- Sound understanding of databases and MIS / ERP / ETL / SQL/ SSAS systems

- Expert Knowledge of R Studio/Python / MS-Excel /Tableau

- Hands-on experience of time series models like ETS, ARIMA, VAR

- Hands-on experience of Machine learning algorithms such as random forest, XG boost, SVM, ANN etc

- Text mining and social media analytics experience will be required

- Ability to benchmark existing analytics practices with Market and recommend initiatives which can be taken up within organization
