Manager - Analyst - SAS + Business Analysis - Card/Banking Domain

Position: Analyst

Location: Bangalore

Experience required:

- 5 to 8 years

- Candidate should have worked in any of the following domain:(Credit Cards, Retail Bank, Online Retail)

Description:

- Provide analytic support to the business teams, understand the business context, formulate and execute appropriate analytical approach to address the business situation.

- Develop/ own comprehensive end to end solutions to address business problems.

- Drive innovative analytical approaches across the broader team and conceptualize and execute solutions to ambiguous problems. Independently manage end to end partner communication.

- Principal Analyst will be a part of one of the business teams the COE partners with (NA Cards, NA Retail Bank, EMEA Cards, APAC Cards, APAC Retail Bank, Banamex, etc).

Core Responsibilities:

1. Analytic Project Execution:

- Understand business priorities and work out data driven solutions

- Hands-on execution on a variety of projects using conventional analytical techniques, deliver on multiple projects & ability to manage timelines around them.

- Collaborate with colleagues to leverage best practices

- Ability to handle complex data and generate meaningful business insights

- End to end project management and coach team members

- Coach and Mentor junior members

2. Business Knowledge: Develop business context and knowledge. Proactively seek out best practices and adopt the same in day to day functioning.

3. Communication: Independently manage communication with US based partners

4. Team work: Effectively contribute and add value to cross functional initiatives. Train and coach others in the organization. Seek to learn from other areas within the site to improve analytic approaches for the team.

5. Organizational Development: Contribute to organizational initiatives in wide ranging areas including competency development, training, organizational building activities etc.

Education Required:

- Highly numerate, as demonstrated by Masters in a numerate subject such as Mathematics, Operational Research, Business Administration, Economics etc. from Premier Institute or a track record of performance that demonstrates this ability.

Skills Required:

Analytical Skills:

- Solid understanding of digital analytics, with the ability to generate, analyze and interpret data

- Hands-on experience in working with digital data, formulating Digital Acquisition Strategies, driving Customer Engagement/Cross-sell, Measuring ROI of Marketing Initiatives, etc.

- Proficient in Formulating Analytical methodology, identifying trends and patterns with data

- Experience in building digital models.

- Hypothesis testing, Knowledge of Segmentation

- Knowledge of predictive modeling

- Simple Optimization

Tools and Platforms:

- Proficient in MS Excel, Powerpoint

- Proficient in SAS, SQL, SAS JMP / Knowledge Seeker

- Proficient in using Adobe Site Catalyst / Discover / Test & Target / Google Analytics

- Familiarity with Tableau

- Hands-on experience in working with Big Data (Rev R and ability to work with Hadoop)

Domain Skills:

- In depth understanding of Customer lifecycle Management within the financial services domain ( Cards, Retail bank, Mortgage, Lending / liability product):

Acquisitions

Customer engagement (Pricing, P&L forecasting)

Customer servicing & understanding customer touch points

Customer retention

Soft Skills:

- Candidate should be highly Self motivated

- Should have Excellent Communication and Inter personal skills

- Ability to Coach and Mentor Juniors

- Should understand business & drive client value

- Ownership and Accountability: Self and team

- Structured & lateral thinking
