Manager / Assistant Manager - Assurance - Global Delivery Team - "BIG4 Firm"

Job Description :

- This exciting opportunity within global delivery team has arisen due to the expansion of the assurance team at our client global delivery team, and will be based within the assurance office in Gurgaon.

- We currently are seeking qualified candidates for an excellent career and leadership opportunity as an assurance manager within us/uk global delivery team assurance team.

- For the right individual, this provides an excellent opportunity to work in an internationally facing office and develop knowledge of international accounting and auditing principles, working in a high growth environment.

Primary Responsibilities and Accountabilities :

- Lead a team of assistant managers, seniors and associates and make sure the team delivers high quality work, as per our client methodology, on time and to budget

- Develop and maintain productive relationships with our client our client us/uk contacts, I.E., us assurance managers and project managers

- Develop an understanding of our client quality and risk management procedures, and ensure these are embedded in to the engagement team's work.

- Work closely with US/UK audit managers to transition new engagements and services to GLOBAL DELIVERY TEAM Assurance whilst maintaining quality of service

- Proactively discuss work flow management with the audit teams in US/UK, allocating resources to audit work and monitoring performance against standards.

- Demonstrate professionalism, competence and clarity of communication when dealing with GLOBAL DELIVERY TEAM and UK audit teams.

- Establish expectations of value to be delivered to the US/UK audit teams and ultimately to the US audit clients

- Identify opportunities to standardize and optimize audit processes across a portfolio of clients

- Develop people by encouraging individuals to think for themselves and take responsibility for their contributions to the team.

- Delegate work successfully.

- Conduct timely performance reviews and provide performance feedback/training. Lead by example.

- Use technology to continually learn, share knowledge with team members, and enhance service delivery. Contribute to technical and soft-skills training to continually develop the team's skills.

Competencies / Skills :

- Knowledge of Indian accounting and auditing standards. Knowledge of IFRS/UK GAAP and International auditing standards is an advantage

- Effective interpersonal, risk management, facilitation and presentation Skills

- Project management, leadership, coaching, counselling and supervisory skills

- Excellent communication skills including speaking and writing effectively in English

- Ability to spread positive work culture and live OUR CLIENT values

- The ability to quickly form strong working relationship with colleagues in India and around the world.

Desired Skills and Experience :

Job Specification :

Education : Qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAI, CPA, ICAEW, ACCA)

Experience :

- Internship with top or mid-tier accounting firm

- 6-7 years post-qualification experience with either

- Mid-or top-tier accounting firm, focused on external or statutory audits

- MNC or larger domestic Indian companies, preferably within a Shared Service Environment.
