Key Account Manager - Affiliate Marketing

With its network of over one million affiliates, the Organization's Associates program is a global leader in online marketing. We attract partners from across the Internet, from large portal players to small niche Web sites. Maximizing these partnerships fuels our business by expanding Organization's exposure online, to yield incremental revenue and new customers.
We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to build and manage these key partners. As part of the online marketing team, you will own revenue and customer acquisition targets through these relationships.
You will also efficiently negotiate terms and close deals with these partners. Internally, you will work with functions that cut across the organization including technology, partner integration and category managers, to drive great customer experience for our partners.
The ideal candidate will exhibit strong analytical as well as interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced, innovative climate. The role will require expertise both in internal team project management as well as working with leaders at major companies to strengthen partner relations and obsess over customer care.
Maximizing these partnerships requires identifying new potential within partner segments, developing scalable account management strategies and driving results for both Organization and its partners.
The right person will:
- Own monthly unit and revenue growth objectives
- Identify new opportunities with existing partners by becoming an expert in their evolving needs.
- Create simplified solutions for partner integrations
- Develop and enhance customer service processes
- Identify and recruit new partners for the program
The successful candidate will be highly analytical and detail-oriented, possess superior communication skills and be comfortable working independently. Candidates must demonstrate a superior track record for execution, creative problem solving, strategic thinking, and successful in all phases of account management including prospecting, acquisition, integration,scaling and retention of partners. Requirements include a minimum of 3-5 years of BD/account management/sales experience in online or software industries with a heavy bias toward web affiliate, social media, online advertising, eCommerce environments. The candidate must also be comfortable with web technologies and driving product development to support large partners.
Basic Qualifications
- Proven experience in account management for a business
- Keen understanding of online advertising models
- 3+ years in Business Development or Account Management B2B customer-facing roles
- Experience using Microsoft Excel to do analysis and reporting
- Excellent written and oral communication skills required
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple work-streams
- Ability to establish credibility and work with business and technical owners
- Bachelor's degree required from Premier / Top B-Schools only
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in driving partnerships and integration with premium online destinations in India
- Online Marketing, eCommerce or Merchandising experience
- Experience with comScore, HitWise, Nielsen or other web analytics tools
- MBA Preferred from Premier / Top B-Schools only
