Purpose of the Function

You will build (the central) and leading the Accounting department. You will ensure proper timely and complete financial records for all the individual verticals and consolidated for ISS India. You have both the functional and content responsibility for ALL accounting processes as well as the full implementation of processes in support of these. In this context you monitor the compliance of the general accounting regulations (IFRS, (tax)legislation, ISS Accounting Manual etc.). You constantly strive to improve the efficiency and quality of the finance department.

Job Content

- Lead the finance department, across the operational activities, monitors the quality and ensures continuity

- Responsible that the financial reporting(s) of the verticals and that the corresponding separate administrations are correct

- Is responsible for the proper, timely and complete processing of postings in the general ledger for all verticals and monitors the connection with the different sub-administrations

- Ensures good internal customer relationship with the operation and provides reports/support on accounting and discusses these.

- Is responsible for the establishment of financial accounting processes and financial systems, the administrative organization and the associated internal controls in such a way as to meet all internal and external requirements

- Is responsible for the proper integration of new administrations in the financial systems of ISS India

- Oversees the implementation of the financial and economic policies of ISS, signals deviations and advises the Head of F&A Shared services about this

- Monitor the balance sheets of the verticals and consolidated for ISS India, is responsible for specifying and report on the outcome of balance sheet schedules/specifications

- Supports business controllers/DGM-F, in the analysis and interpretation of data delivered by accounting

- Oversees the control of all employee benefit payments and provisions

- Is responsible for the archiving policy of ISS (general ledger and subsidiary ledgers) and advises the Head of F&A Shared Services on this

- Ensures a correct and timely payment of taxes on the basis of the made arrangements with HRM, Tax department and in accordance with legislation

Desired Skills & Experience

- Business economics education at Academic level

- Minimum 5 years managerial experience in administrative area

- Knowledge of accounting regulations (IFRS) and Tax Legislation

- Helicopter view on complex administrative processes, in an automated and harmonized financial system, and its process interdependences

- Knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office and Accounting Packages (preferably Navision)

- Good insight and analytical skills
