Manager - Accounting

- Managing a team of 5

- Preparation and review of monthly management accounts for global Impact Partnerships and Economist Intelligence.

- Develop relationships with stakeholders both within finance and within the commercial business to anticipate and meet their needs

- Provide leadership, coaching, review, mentoring, performance management and development to the team.

- Specific accounting responsibility for a number of P&L components: overheads of the finance team, business central costs and marketing functions

- Reviewing the work of the team, particularly in more complex areas of revenue recognition and project/client cost allocations.

- Work effectively and collaboratively with FP&A to agree and deliver hand offs between accounting and FP&A teams in London

- Prepare reports and explain results and reasons for variances against budget and forecast to commercial finance

- Review of commissions payable to sales team and external reps prior to submitting for payment

- Perform periodic Balance sheet reconciliations for relevant areas

- Provide assistance for coding within the relevant areas to ensure more efficient month end

- Assist with end of year audit querie
