CORE PURPOSE OF THE JOB :
- Lead high impact analytics projects for the organization, primarily in the marketing space
- Drive analysis and execution by working with different stakeholders
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY :
Business understanding & roadmap creation
- Get a good understanding of the business by working with business unit leaders
- Identify how analytics projects can add value to different business units and marketing team
- Design analytics roadmap to drive projects
- Create and maintain a pipeline of projects for the analytics team; Prioritize projects based on business impact
Advanced analytics :
- Lead 2-3 projects at any given time
- Understand web analytics data and augmenting this data with customer data to add value to business
- Collaborate with stakeholders in problem solutioning and work with stakeholders to drive execution of the recommendations
Reporting/ Adhoc analysis :
- Understand different data sources for customer and web analytics
- Understand and streamline existing reports to make these more insightful
- Standardize metrics and reporting for customer and web analytics
- Support adhoc data requests from different stakeholders
Team/ project management :
- Manage 3-4 team members and provide hands-on help on projects/ tools as well as help structure different business problems (brainstorming)
- Plan and publish tasks for the team
Others :
- Organize training sessions for team members on tools and problem solving methodology
- Evaluate tools and technology for on-going analytics work
- Lead vendor management as needed for customer and web analytics tools
- Present findings from analytics work to senior stakeholders

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS :
- Bachelors in Engineering/IT. MBA preferred
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE :
- Hands-on experience with analytics work including statistical modeling required- should have worked on segmentation, regression, logistic regression and have a good understanding of business stastics
- Hands-on knowledge of SAS, R and other data processing/ modeling tools is a must; Knowledge of web analytics tools such as Omniture/ Google Analytics is an added advantage
- Passion for problem solving is needed; Ability to work with stakeholders to influence decision making is needed
- Experience working with web analytics data preferred
- Experience managing a 4-5 member team needed
- Past experience in an internet company or in product management roles is a great plus
- A high level of interest and passion for consumer internet world is a necessary criterion
