Role: Senior Business Development Manager Department: Domestic Chains Level: Executive/Senior Executive Location: Gurgaon Role Overview: This role is a critical part of the Domestic Chains, Key Accounts Team in the Hotel Supply function. The business manager would have the end to end responsibility of driving growth for key chain accounts through regular engagement with the revenue heads of chains. This would involve sharing necessary business insights and recommendations with key external stakeholders and ensuring a smooth execution of agreed actionables by coordinating with internal cross-functional teams such as category, revenue and marketing. The business manager would be owning the responsibility of growing the business for all hotels in the chain which are based across India. Know the Function: The Domestic Chains team is a part of the Domestic Hotel Supply Function and this team manages the overall business growth and supply of branded chain hotels headquartered in India. This team manages key Indian brands such as IHCL (Taj, SeleQtions, Vivanta & Ginger), ITC, Leela, Sarovar etc. and has direct contracts with 1000+ hotels. Key Learnings in this role: - Managing large scale hotel chain accounts spread across India - Forming strategic partnerships with key hotel partners - Exposure to engage and learn from leading industry stalwarts - Build internal and external key working relationships - Gain knowledge on the supply factors and financial acumen - End to end management of supply of your hotels on the platform Skills you will bring to the table: 1. Relationship and Key Account Management : - Key account management - The person will be responsible for connecting and engaging with top level management of the branded hotels like Taj, Leela, ITC, Sarovar, Lemontree etc. and will be responsible for the account management of key chain hotels and driving sustainable performance of the account at a unit level across the portfolio - Collaborating with partners in the portfolio and providing expertise, metrics, analysis and recommendations based on the industry's best practices 2. Portfolio Management and Driving Growth : - Grow net revenue in the market by producing business plans to achieve revenue goals, ensuring inventory levels exceed demand throughout the market, ensuring rate competitiveness across multiple available platforms 3. Data Analysis and Reporting: - Establish and maintain supplier relationships, train partner hotels on our extranet and the wholesale business, review monthly production reports and provide feedback to top producing hotels, plan and execute market site visits - Building MIS & market intelligence reports, preparing geography wise and service wise sales plans and achieving them. Sharing insights on market and industry with the clients and internal stake holders 4. Negotiation Skills: - Networking, deal initiating, negotiation & closing deals with our partners - Strategize in order to market the hotel in a better way. It helps hotel partners to serve the needs of their customers and at the same time grow their businesses Tools that will be used: - MS Excel - MS Power-point - Ingo-MMT Extranet - SAS What are we looking for in you? Relevant Experience: - Preferred candidates having past work experience in Sales/Travel Trade/Key Account Management/Contracting/B2B Sales. - Experience in handling multiple high value key accounts as a partner is preferred.
