About this Role Communications team at MakeMyTrip is responsible for telling our story to the media, their influencers and for third party advocacy. By building lasting relationships with key news outlets and journalists across India we tell the story about what we do and its impact. We are looking for a self-starter who can engage with the media to better advance our communications agenda and help grow the organisation's brand. You will report directly to Director Communications, MakeMyTrip. This role will involve: - Building an effective, credible communications plan & its execution; - Manage the day to day tactics of communications in India - from proactive pitches related to Corporate & Product PR as well as handling issues as they arise. - Prepare succinct, well written brief for executives - Manage our PR agency partners in creative, inspiring ways that resonate with journalists and third parties. - Working closely cross-functionally to tell our story across mediums and different geographical regions. - Capability to develop understanding to draft submissions for public policy advocacy & strategise media play. What We- re Looking For This job is for someone who wants to join a leading player in the Travel-Tech industry and can take the ownership to shape the job and their own career. To succeed you- ll need have a bias for action in everything you do. We are looking for a well-organized person who enjoys working cross-functionally to get stuff done. Ideally, you should have a proven track record in communications with 7+ years of experience - leading the mandate for a company, clients at PR agency or as a journalist. Fluency in English, both oral and written, is essential.
