About the Role:

The incumbent will be responsible for managing the hotels category for Makemytrip corporate business. It is a techno-commercial role and will be need managing stakeholders as diverse as tech, supply, product and revenue.

The incumbent should have prior experience of analytics and cross functional working and should be comfortable around driving processes and SOPs which can be replicated and scaled easily while at the same time be comfortable with SQL and have a high level understanding of the various tech systems and working. The role will involve interactions with senior stakeholders across multiple teams as well as the corporate customers from time to time.

What will you be doing?

1. Tracking performance parameters and keep a tight control on business KPI numbers.

2. Deep dive into competitor pricing data and use signals to improve category pricing. Defining & driving the short term and long term growth plan agenda of the category while working with various cross functional teams

3. Deep dive onto demand signals / traffic data to decipher business and supply strategy

4. Collaborate with supply to devise and execute engagement strategies and campaigns.

5. Collaborate with supply team to drive availability, assortment, pricing competitiveness

6. Follow a stringent action plan and collaborate with the product team to increase platform conversion for the hotels category

7. Work with product teams to automate / improve pricing. Collaborate with operations team to devise and ensure smooth post-sale processes

8. Create and maintain rich interactive visualizations through data interpretation and analysis integrating various reporting components from multiple data sources

9. Corporate wise NPS tracking and enhancement plan : corporate retention and business growth corporate wise are key to the business

10. Proactively analyze data using statistical methods to answer key questions from stakeholders or out of self-initiated curiosity with an eye for what drives business performance, investigating and communicating areas for improvement in efficiency and productivity

Qualification and Experience:

1. Past experience of working in hotel supply/product ecosystem will be advantageous.

2. Overall experience of 3-5 years with exposure in handling multiple accounts as a category manager will be preferred

3. Good understanding of the hotel category, cross functional project management, and growth opportunities in order to implement strategic and targeted action plans to achieve goals

4. Data analytics and financial modeling ability Google Analytics/ Omniture, SQL, Advanced MS Excel desirable

5. Strong communication skills, Influencing skills, great interpersonal & stakeholder management skills

6. High on energy, team player coupled with a great attitude
