Position Title : Area Development Manager Level : Assistant Manager/Deputy Manager Location : Bangalore Department : Domestic Hotel Supply Role Overview : Role of an Area development manager requires building a team together, defining processes, systems and lying down the basic structure for the daily running and management of the particular cities that we would be identifying for increasing the penetration through the effective use of resources with responsibility for generating the room nights from the respective Hotel Booking Centers. Responsibility Areas - R&amp;D in Identified the cities with lower penetration in the online space and do a complete research and device a strategy for increasing the business through offline channels. - Execution of the set strategy and align for delivery to achieve set targets. - End to end responsible of the P&amp;L of the cities that we keep going live in this LOB. Planning and Development Effectiveness - Support the review of ongoing and the new cities and planning mechanisms. - Introduce and supervise the use of best practice process methodologies to improve results and help the vendor set up the business and take ownership of the assigned city Operational Management - Day to day room nights- generation from the respective center - Develop a focus on Customer Satisfaction and Customer Centricity via various techniques and build up on the contribution through the offline sources. - Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry developments and involvement in networks; - Monitoring the ongoing operations and be proficient to train the Kiosk managers and the vendors for a smooth operation. Relationship Management - Establish and maintain cordial and professional business relationships with colleagues and external providers. - Create a customer focused' performance culture within the team - Establish relationships with the enablers who would be the key for business generation. - Identify and generate relationship with key hoteliers in the offline space. Desired Profile Minimum of 3 years in a business development in Financial industry/ FMCG / Modern Retail. The ideal candidate will come from a strong customer oriented services or business management background. Ability to handle multiple stakeholders and should be open to extensive travel. Should have a good team handling experience.
