Mainframe Architect - BFSI Domain

Overall 14-20 years of experience and extensive experience working on mainframe technologies in Banking domain preferably brokerage domain.

A technology leader with experience in designing high level architecture for mainframe technologies.

- Facilitate architecture and co-ordinate extended architecture team meetings and discussions

- Mediate and resolve systems strategy and application/data architecture disputes

- Accountable for setting strategies and standards for the technology organization

- Work with systems and business partners to develop and enhance the future state of business systems architecture

- Establish architecture standards, guidelines and frameworks

- Participate as appropriate in design and code reviews in assigned area

- Conduct product evaluations and make product recommendations

- Provide input to business strategy and planning. Assist partners with the gathering and prioritization of systems project requirements by providing guidance and opinions

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Problem solving, decision-making and influencing skills

- Experience working in globally distributed team environment

- Good experience in brokerage system and interrelation

- Worked and demonstrated excellent control over COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2 and VSAM

- Should have hand-on experience on developing solutions for conversion to latest Mainframe technologies like ComputeGrid, Websphere related products (like WOLA, WODM etc…)

- Understand current Applications Architecture and suggest/drive improvements

- Should have experience in product architecture of financial products, its dependencies, organizational goals, technology arena, etc. and helps guide & direct the functioning of the organization appropriately

- Sound knowledge on various mainframe tools
