MainFrame Architect

The position will be responsible for a work unit that provides secure access management solutions to our Client applications and also provides consulting, security engineering solutions and technical support for various security products on the iSeries/i5OS/AS400, Mainframe platforms. Maintains and grows a high performing team that manages multiple platforms.

1.The position will be responsible for managing work volume to ensure service levels are met. Maintains awareness of trends and metrics to assess impact to platform, applications and staffing.

2.Ensures controls are established and maintained that protect data and the reduce the risk of unauthorized access.

3.Interacts with business unit and technology partners to identify opportunities for growth (technical and headcount).

4.Takes accountability for issue escalations from business and technology partners. Represents organization and interfaces with different management levels and team members. This position will work collaboratively with other managers within IALSE, Information Security Technology, systems support staff and other information technology units to continually increase the efficiency of processes and quality of service for our customers/partners. Job Purpose::

- Bachelor degree or higher and seven to nine years related technical experience.

- Five or more years in leadership or management experience.

- Requires business knowledge to the scope of area managed.

- Ability to interact effectively with a variety of contacts, including senior level management.

- Proven ability with Mainframe, Midrange, Microsoft and/or UNIX operating systems.

- Proven ability with Authentication Solutions, Middleware platforms and the underlying technologies and tools used there (viz. SiteMinder, ODSEE, WebLogic WebSphere, Active Directory, etc.)

- Proven ability to collaborate with others, initiate action, manage change, make high impact decisions, and accept challenging assignments.

- Proven experience in executing improvements to service

- In-depth working knowledge with three to five years working experience with iSeries, Mainframe, including Windows server / Unix platforms. Working knowledge of various operating systems, Information Security.

Working knowledge of security issues, risks and solutions for the various platforms.

- Strong customer service focus and clear commitment to corporate goals in past assignments.

- Strong aptitude for problem solving leadership.

- Strong analytical, communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills.

- Able to foster robust working relationships with team.
