EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION : MA/ MSc in Economics/ MBA in Finance

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

Strategic focus:

- Analysis & reporting of Global & Domestic macroeconomic indicators & key trends by creating & maintaining databases

- Develop bespoke indices & frameworks to identify economic trends

- Monitor Country macroeconomic indicators & risks

- Guiding and supporting Group businesses & business functions such as treasury, sourcing units, Investor Relations etc

Implementation:

Key responsibiities will include :

- Creation and maintainance of databases, template creation for reviewing and monitoring global & domestic macroeconomic (GDP, Fisc, Trade, inflation, Fx etc) and Industry/ Sectoral indicators.

- Identifying & capturing trends in Investments, Consumption & Commodities etc.

- Helping prepare high impact notes/reports and presentations for business teams & leadership forums

- Conduct macro training programmes/ workshops for Mahindra Group businesses & teams

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES REQUIRED:

Around 5 years experience preferably with a consultancy/ bank/ rating agency/ brokerage/ think tanks/ financial services firm in:

- Tracking & reporting macroeconomic & policy trends

- Deep understanding of macro databases (eg CSO, NSS, RBI, CMIE, CEIC, Bloomberg etc) & working with them

- Interacting/providing inputs for businesses, risk teams, investor relations, etc. engagment with internal or external stakeholders ie clients/ managements etc

- Industry & sectoral understanding

- Creating high impact presentations

- Assisting the Chief economist with bespoke presentations/ papers / articles

BEHAVIOURAL RESPONBSIBILITES REQUIRED :

- Deep understanding of global & domestic environment, ability to discern industry & sectoral trends

- Ability to interpret Regulatory & Geo-political and its impact on macro variables

- Strong analytical skills & attention to detail

- Good writing & presentation skiils + interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work with senior leaders and Partner with various business teams

KEY INTERACTIONS :

Internal - Business teams/ heads, Group Public Affairs team

External - Industry associations such as CII, FICCI RBI, NITI Aayog & Central & State Minisitry officials
