Job Description:
The role will be that of a Product Head - Direct to Consumer Services and would involve end to end participation in creating a start-up direct to consumer business line, with a potential to create a USD 50Mn business line over the next 5 years. Role could expand beyond domestic market based on success in India.
Focus will be on people with strategic thinking, entrepreneurial spirit, innovation-focus, drive & energy. Person will work closely to help manage the overall P/L of this business as one of the leaders for this business. Primary role be to :
- Help the organization create cutting edge direct to consumer services, and then,
- Spear-head the aggressive roll out of the GTM strategy across India.
- Merchant/Partner and Customer Acquisitions and Sustainable Revenue Generation
- Manage the on-going relationship with merchants/partners and banks
Role will entail the following aspects w.r.t the direct to consumer offering:
- Responsible for product features, design, specifications and evolution
- Help identify customer pain points and needs to effective evolve the solution road map and offerings
- GTM strategy and planning for consumer facing app
- Marketing and Promotion strategy
- Define and tracking business KPIs like download, usage, etc.
- Point of interface with development teams for feature development
- Market Analysis, Market Research, Roll-out
- P/L ownership to the business line
- Prospective Merchants/Billers and Partners. Identifying & Closing local, state, national brands. Acquire, Develop and manage merchants.
- Conduct effective negotiations with Merchants for competitive and sustainable pricing/terms for the business.
- Creation and Nurturing of the external and internal eco-system
- Partnerships, Alliances and M&A
- Market Positioning, Branding and Collateral Creation
- Acquisition Team Management /Third Party Governance involved in direct Sales (if any)
- Contract Management and Governance
- Engagement with CXO Levels
Background needed :
MBAs from IIMs or equivalent category of premier institutes. Engineering degree would be preferred.
Strong hands-on approach, but backed by insightful and strategic thought process is an essential qualification.
