Magicbricks - Data Engineer

Responsibilities

- Identifying the key problem in the system and proposing a solution

- Selecting features, building and optimizing classifiers using machine learning techniques

- Data mining using state-of-the-art methods

- Identify third party data that can be used to enhance the information gained

- Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis

Skills and Qualifications

- Design and construct highly scalable data management system

- Data mining

- Building software components and analytics applications

- Experience with common data science toolkits, such as R, Python, Octave, Java. Excellence in at least one of these.

- Great communication skills

- Proficiency in SQL is a must.

- Experience with NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB, Cassandra, HBase will be good to have.

- Good applied statistics skills, such as distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc.

- Data-oriented personality
