Magic Bus - DGM - Grants

Magic Bus is mission driven not for profit organisation who has multiple channel of funding. As a Grant Manager, you will be responsible for managing grant proposals and funding opportunities for national & international programs and initiatives. You will work closely with program staff, finance staff, and international grant-making entities to develop, write, and manage grants that support the organization's mission and strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities (What will you do?):

- Identify potential national & international grant opportunities that align with the organization's mission and strategic goals.

- Research and analyze international grant requirements and guidelines, and develop grant proposals and applications that comply with local laws and regulations.

- Work closely with program staff to develop project plans, budgets, and timelines that meet grant requirements and support local partners.

- Review and edit grant proposals to ensure compliance with grant-making entity requirements and guidelines.

- Manage the international grant application and funding process, including submitting grant proposals, tracking deadlines, and following up with grant-making entities.

- Develop and implement systems for tracking international grant funds, reporting on progress, and ensuring compliance with grant requirements and local regulations.

- Collaborate with finance staff to monitor international grant budgets, expenses, and reporting requirements.

- Develop and maintain positive relationships with international grant-making entities and local partners, including responding to inquiries and participating in meetings or site visits.

- Provide training and support to program staff and local partners on international grant-related processes, requirements, and compliance.

- Stay informed of international development trends and best practices and use this knowledge to guide international grant strategy and proposal development.

Qualifications (What are we looking for?):

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as International Development, Business Administration, Non-profit Management, or related field. A Master's degree is preferred.

- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience working in international grant management or related field.

- Strong understanding of international grant requirements and guidelines, as well as international grant application and funding processes.

- Experience developing successful international grant proposals, managing grants, and reporting on grant-funded projects in different regions of the world.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write clear and compelling international grant proposals and reports.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse complex information and develop creative solutions in diverse contexts.

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and quality.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to manage multiple projects simultaneously across different time zones and cultures.

- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with international grant-making entities, local partners, and internal stakeholders.

- Familiarity with international development programs and current issues, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and grant management software.
