Maersk - Senior Data Product Owner - Global Data & Analytics Team

Maersk is looking for a seasoned data product manager to join our Global Data & Analytics (GDA) team and drive future insights for the warehousing and logistics vertical. This role will require a good understanding of the logistics and services business, strong data orientation and storytelling skills, and excellent stakeholder management. The role is primarily an individual contributor role with the additional responsibility of leading a lean but high-performing data product team.

Responsibilities:

- Build a good understanding of the logistics and services business to identify optimization opportunities across cost and execution efficiency.

- Operate horizontally between the business and platform teams; represent GDA.

- Deep problem-solving for improving the overall EBIT of the logistics and warehousing business.

- Strong at discovery by looking at data to identify trends and build hypotheses.

- Communicate with stakeholders to gather requirements and address concerns or issues.

- Leverage data to build a strong narrative and drive the growth and efficiency story and its execution with engineering teams.

- Write clear and actionable requirements (user stories, use case scenarios, and acceptance criteria) to help focus the team on solving the right problems.

- Facilitate meetings that help the team understand the customer, the problem we're trying to solve, and the success criteria for the solution.

- Work closely with engineering teams to ensure that your features are ready for release, including the proper planning and coordination.

- Help establish and improve processes and standards for how we work.

- Become a subject-matter expert in your areas so you can become a source of knowledge for others internally and externally.

Qualifications :

- 8-15 years of relevant experience working as a (data) product manager in the data and analytics domain; preferably an MBA from a top business school.

- Exceptional organizational, presentation, and communication skills- both verbal and written.

- Strong analytical skills to research and understand complex business problems and write detailed level requirements and acceptance criteria.

- Detail-oriented with a high degree of organizational skills to successfully work independently or within a team to balance multiple priorities and overlapping tasks.

- Equal proficiency in presenting ideas and details clearly through verbal presentations and technical documentation.

- Must be self-motivated, responsive, professional, and dedicated to customer success.

- Possess an innovative, problem-solving, and solutions-oriented mindset.

- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, be a team player, and manage change effectively.
