Maersk - SAP Engineering Lead

Who we are looking for:

- Rich experience in building and scaling in house SAP engineering capability with one of the large global companies especially in SAP Order to cash and procurement to pay process areas

 - Proven Global SAP Implementation and Rollout program management experience 

- Proven track record of working with senior business stakeholders and delivering on business outcomes through SAP technology

- Demonstrated track record of working with teams spread across multiple geographies. 

- Demonstrated track record of building and running SAP engineering and delivery capabilities for large scale technology transformation projects

 - Exhibits great adaptability and effectively leads teams in ambiguous situations

 - Prior background in one of core domains in SAP like SAP SD and MM  

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

- Build a high performance and scale our SAP Engineering capability from scratch

- Design SAP Engineering capability organization structure 

- Manage the SAP engineering capabilities with SAP functional and technical engineers across multiple modules

- Manage the knowledge transfer process from existing external vendors to internal team 

- Responsible for delivery of SAP engineering changes in both functional and technical side

- Closely align with various initiatives to shape scope & schedule and augment delivery capabilities as per the plan 

- Partner with various business stakeholders and technology leaders to translate customer needs into outcomes for business 

- Understand organizational goals, competitive landscape and technology trends to provide recommendations and decisions directly aligned to the organization's strategy and financial goals

- Maintain leadership in the development of delivery standards and architectural governance 

- Be a change agent that helps bring in large scale deployment exercises in a repetitive and consistent fashion

 - Ensure that SAP technology and delivery capability remain current with the business goals, and direct the development of delivery capability towards long-term business and technology goals

- Responsible for SAP delivery as per milestones agreed with respective initiatives

- Acts as escalation point for issue resolution and provides direction and steady leadership in the face of uncertainty to ensure no bottlenecks impacting delivery of solution 

- OKR dashboard to provide transparency, track and monitor delivery outcomes and capability of team 

- Control & manage finance, budget and utilization for offshore delivery team

 - Responsible for people processes in the organization, employee attrition rate, people and competency development and engagement
