APMT Procurement is looking for a strong, independent, project manager who can support an ambitious cost leadership agenda across a complex stakeholder landscape. Cost Leadership covers a broad scope within the APMT procurement organization, including coordination of efforts designed to reduce cost, mitigate exposure, and ensure competitiveness across key spend categories such as concessions, labour, and SG&A. In addition to support in these categories, the team is also responsible for helping to ensure a strong delivery by the regional procurement teams through efficient game planning, compliance management, and championing the APMT way of working. Reporting to the Head of Cost Leadership, a project manager in the cost leadership team will be responsible for supporting projects and drives designed to help safeguard APMTs cost base for the long term. This position will also play a critical role in supporting the rest of the APMT procurement organization in their delivery. The ideal candidate must thrive in a fast paced and global environment, and is expected to deliver results through strong analytical abilities, collaboration skills, personal drive, and the ability to take ownership of deliverables and tasks. Role Requirements : - Has in-depth knowledge and experience in procurement categories and transformation. - Experience translating complex cost scenarios and data into concrete models which can be used to drive decision making. - Handles most situations independently, receives minimal guidance, but will seek guidance on more complex issues. - Applies subject matter knowledge to solve common business issues. - Operates within practices and procedures covered by precedents or well-defined policies, escalating all non-routine problems. - Understands the overall nature of the business and the interdependencies between own and other functions. - Has accountability for overall project or multiple work streams including project plan, scope, work schedule, and contractual deliverables - Establishes effective communications with stakeholders Key Responsibilities : - Managing change & transformation projects with different regional teams and developing strategies to implement these projects. - Supporting initiatives and reviews being run out of HQ and other regions related to high priority cost categories Supporting other efforts on the cost leadership agenda, including: - Supporting the planning and execution of the APMT Procurement Annual Operating Plan (AOP) - Running and supporting cost drives for procurement supporting the APMT CPO office - Driving procurement standards and compliance across the APMT organization - Supporting roll out of the APMT way of working in the procurement community - Guiding internal and external APMT stakeholders on adopting and understanding the global RP strategy and policies and ensuring there is RP compliance across the APMT procurement organization
