The Team Leader is responsible for leading the Operations (OPS) team with the following main responsibilities: - Leadership: Lead the team. A team may include Import, Export, FCL, LCL, and/or FINOPS designated members and responsibility - Operations Service delivery: Drive daily operational excellence in close cooperation with the Customer Service department and other internal departments impacting operational service delivery (intermodal, CHB, etc.) - Escalation: First point of escalation for OPS related tasks handled within the OPS team - Data quality & Process improvement: Ensure data integrity and drive process efficiency Additionally, the Team Leader is part of the larger Damco GSC team and flexibility to help out in other departments, when specifically agreed upfront, is a pre-requisite. This implies that the employee may be asked to perform other tasks not specified in below role responsibilities. Exp: 5 - 10 years Responsibilites: 1. Leadership - Drive operational excellence: understand operations dynamics and organize the team accordingly - Drive KPI- s: manage internal (part of the MWB- s) and/or external KPI's on a daily basis Manage the OPS team: a) Plans directs and coordinates activities of personnel engaged in providing durable services b) Assign tasks and interpret company policies and procedures c) Ensure optimal cross-functional working conditions d) Responsible for the team performance e) Deliver a team working approach within the departments by : - Leading, coaching, directing and motivating the team - Ensuring team and individual performance and development - Achieving company and department KPI- s - Attract, retain, train and develop the best people - Be the owner of all OPS processes, captured in IOP- s/manuals - Team up with the CS Supervisor and/or other internal departments domestic and abroad in order to make sure that second to none service is delivered to our customers 2. Service delivery & stakeholder engagement - Manage daily operational activities of the team - Drive OPS delivery targets for specific customers - Ensure timely and accurate revenue and cost updates in an operational system, based on GPM / SQS / P&L data, optimizing CM1 - Ensure invoicing, supplier WF handling and CM1 checks are performed timely as per company targets - Troubleshoot operational issues/escalations and ensure timely response towards customer - Ensure correct handling of (potential) claims and updating of same in the claims register - Drive vendor dispute handling of the OPS team - Lead weekly & monthly review calls with respective stakeholders ensuring alignment 3. Data Quality & Process improvement - Ensure integrity and timeliness of data entered into the system based on customer-specific and internal agreements/practices - Actively contribute and drive data quality improvement opportunities if required together with the CS supervisor and/or other internal stakeholders - Create, adhere to and maintain customer IOP's in close cooperation with CO/Implementation managers (SOP) 4.
