Cost Management :

- Responsible for India and Sri Lanka Intermodal and Equipment costs and overall cost leadership in the country cluster

- Deliver on cost targets with the regions in India and monitor performance

- Take a proactive role in identifying savings, efficiencies and continuously analyse cost and identify patterns therein

- Interact with the teams across the region with regards to standardization and simplification projects

- Responsible for operational vendor payment process at the back office, leading to timely vendor payments

- Responsible to ensure accuracy by back office of the sign off monthly / book close / budgets on behalf of Operations for India Cluster

Inland Product Management :

- Review and analyze the cost structure regularly to ensure inland product is profitable

- Assist in developing strategy for hinterland penetration to maintain focus on most profitable markets

Vendor Management :

- Drive vendor management process in coordination with the regions to promote high level of performance on customer interface processes

- Monitor adherence of vendor engagement plan and drive culture of objective performance assessment with most critical vendors

- Ensure key process parameters are a part of the vendor scorecard and SLAs are accordingly incorporated under the contract

Process Improvement :

- Country level ownership and management of India cluster operation's processes

- Drive Cluster level ops change initiatives to support key projects like increase in productivity, reduce behavioral cost and improve Maersk Line presence in key inland markets

- Set standards and ensure all key processes have a robust governance model to avoid frauds and ensure process compliance

Who we are looking for :

The ideal candidate will be a person with 5+ years of relevant experience and who is a dedicated team player, can interact with other functions with strong communication skills

- Certified Green belt or Black Belt would be preferred

- Capable of driving efficiency, standardization and process compliance

- Has a sense of urgency and result orientation thereby delivering objectives and increasing business performance by effective stakeholder management

- A candidate with a proven performance record

- Analytical, creative thinking, persuasive mindset and eye of improvement

- Proficiency in MS office
