Performance Marketing Manager - Amazon Ads


Job Description:


As an Amazon Performance Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for the strategic planning, creation, management and execution of paid advertising and acquisition campaigns of our Amazon accounts, with primary focus on US marketplace. You will work closely with the sales and content creation teams to scale up performing marketing efforts and deliver tangible business results. You will be expected to leverage your expertise in listing optimization, keyword research, advertising campaigns, and budget management to increase sales, improve ROI, and enhance the overall performance of our Amazon accounts.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

- Responsible for day-to-day marketplace ads activities including analysis of total revenue, campaign performances and metrics.

- Conduct thorough keyword research and optimization to identify high-potential search terms and optimize keyword targeting for optimal ads performance, improvement in product visibility and rankings on Amazon.

- Monitor campaign performance metrics, including click-through rates (CTR), conversion rates, return on ad spend (ROAS), total advertising cost of sale (TACoS), and overall spends profitability, reflecting brand objectives.

- Implement bid management strategies and optimizations to maximize campaign performance within budgetary constraints.

- Continuously analyze and evaluate campaign performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategic adjustments to enhance overall results.

- Conduct competitor analysis to identify opportunities and strategies to gain a competitive edge in the Amazon marketplace.

- Conduct A/B testing and implement optimization strategies to improve campaign performance, including ad placements, ad formats, targeting options, and bidding strategies.

- Create and manage compelling ad copy, creative assets, and landing pages that adhere to Amazon guidelines, to maximize conversion rates and customer engagement.

- Generate regular reports and provide data-driven insights on campaign performance, highlighting key metrics, campaign insights, and recommendations for optimization.

- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, algorithm updates, and platform changes related to Amazon paid search, and proactively apply this knowledge to enhance campaign performance.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, graphic designers and content creators, to enhance product listings and growth.

- Strong analytical sense and number led approach to campaigns.

Qualification and Experience Requirements:

- Should be an MBA in Business, Marketing, or a related field from a premium institute.

- Minimum 2+ years relevant and proven work experience in overall PPC advertising campaigns management of major E-commerce platforms like Amazon, Flipkart, Walmart.

- Proficient in utilizing Amazon advertising tools, such as Amazon Advertising Console (Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display) and Amazon Marketing Services (AMS).

- Proficiency in keyword research and listing optimization strategies.

- Sound knowledge of online tools like Amazon Pi, Helium 10, Sellics, etc.

- Experience with bid management tools and campaign optimization strategies to maximize return on investment (ROI).

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret campaign data, analyze campaign performance metrics, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to optimize performance.

- Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously and deliver high-quality work within deadlines.

- Experience and Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

- Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Ability to think strategically and operationally, delivering day-to-day work, while defining and leading future direction.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas and campaign insights.

- Certifications related to Amazon advertising are a plus.

- Work experience in campaigns management of Amazon global marketplaces is a plus.
