Macro Economics Research Analyst

Role includes:

- Partnering with European economics team to support research operations on the Eurozone in general and periphery countries in particular

- Compiling / maintaining databases and forecast files

- Develop and maintain statistical models to forecast economic variables such as inflation, GDP, trade etc

- Contribute to regional periodicals such as chartbooks and economics quarterlies. Provide research assistance for larger thematic projects

- Actively collaborating with researchers from other asset classes to maintain consistency of forecasts

Requirements

- Masters in Economics from leading universities such as Delhi school of economics, Madras school of economics, Indian Statistical Institute, IGIDR or JNU

- 1-2 years experience in macro economics research

- A strong understanding of macroeconomic concepts and financial markets

- Good analytical, written and oral presentation skills

- Intermediate to advanced excel skills and familiarity with statistical packages such as Eviews, SPSS or STATA

- Hands on experience in creating statistical models and prior experience in covering the region will be an added plus
