Summary of the Role:
To defend and grow OMC business and handle OEM development projects meeting Lubrizol needs by implementing appropriate technology platforms in the Driveline (AT, GO, OH) marketplace
Responsibilities / Accountabilities:
The Driveline technology deployment project manager works within a global team and is accountable for working with customers or original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to deploy technical solutions for new product commercialization and existing product support. The successful candidate should have a proven track record of interfacing with external customers, managing multiple technical projects, providing solutions through a network of resources, have strong interpersonal and communications skills, and work well in teams.
Job Responsibilities include:
- Translate customer/OEM technical needs into technical plan then lead team to implement that project plan in timely, cost-efficient manner
- Optimize product platform and complete necessary testing to develop commercialized products for OEM's and oil company customers
- Provide general technical support and resolve field issues for assigned customers and OEM's
- Build and maintain customer/OEM relationships to deliver products that meet or exceed their expectations and Driveline strategic plans
- Work with sales and OEM group to develop customer relationships and communicate customer goals to Driveline organization
- Effectively communicate project status to customer teams and department in assigned project areas
- Estimate and develop project plans (scope, objectives, milestones, resources and economics)
- Complete timely customer reports, data presentations
- Accurately collate, interpret, and present data
- Work with internal and external test laboratories to ensure sufficient resource allocation for business demands
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field
- Experience in customer facing role
- Effective project management experience, including project economics
- General knowledge of statistics
- Experience as a key player in account team
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to travel up to 30% of the time and to participate in global discussions (evening meetings)
- Excellent English oral and written communication skills
