Role Summary The Data Scientist will join the data science team to : 1) Demonstrate and drive deep technical expertise in solving real world retail business problems through the application of machine learning 2) Collaborate with other team members both within and outside the data science team to create and deliver world class data science products 3) Act as an SME on the floor and help build data science capabilities Skill sets required : 1) Very srong background and theoretical foundation in machine learning & advanced statistical modeling concepts 2) Proficiency in Python, R, Spark or related tools for model building 3) Excellent problem solving & CS fundamental skills (theory, algorithms, data structures) 4) Experience handling a wide variety of data of large volumes 5) Experience collaborating with a team of data scientists in developing and delivering scalable enterprise level machine learning products/solutions 6) Ability to collaborate in a global environment Qualifications : Ph.D. in Computer Science with 3+ years of experience in a similar role (OR) Masters in Computer Science with 5+ years of experience
