Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Oversee the general ledger accounting process, ensuring accuracy and timely reconciliations.
- Review and interpret financial data to provide valuable insights and recommendations to senior management.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Collaborate with department heads to develop annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Monitor budget performance, analyze variances, and provide data-driven insights for informed decision-making.
- Implement strategies to optimize financial performance and achieve budgetary goals.
Cash Flow Management:
- Manage cash flow projections and ensure adequate liquidity to meet operational needs.
- Monitor receivables and payables processes to optimize cash flow efficiency.
- Implement controls and procedures to mitigate risk and improve working capital management.
Compliance & Internal Controls:
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies, including tax filings, reporting standards, and audit procedures.
- Develop and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.
- Coordinate with external auditors and facilitate the resolution of audit findings.
Financial Analysis & Decision Support:
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support strategic initiatives, investment evaluations, and business planning.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management to drive profitability and growth.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and revenue enhancement.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive environment for continuous learning and professional development.
- Partner effectively with cross-functional teams to align financial goals with overall business objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA certification preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and financial management roles.
- Strong understanding of American accounting standards (GAAP) and financial reporting principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data and translate it into strategic insights.
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven leadership qualities with experience in team management and development.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial processes.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
