The job holder will be primarily responsible for management of risk that the client is exposed to, through fraud & abuse. This is in the context of restraint frauds and losses due to theft, shrinkage etc.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review reports of suspected fraud to determine need for further investigation.
- Train others (team members) in fraud detection and prevention techniques.
- Maintain knowledge of current events and trends in such areas as mechanisms of fraud and techniques of system abuse.
- Evaluate business operations across multiple geographies where the client exists to identify risk areas for fraud.
- Highlight and recommend actions in fraud cases.
- Research or evaluate new analytical models for use in fraud detection systems. Responsible for achieving reduction in loss through implementation of advanced analytical models.
- Build a team to ensuring requisite manpower to transfer knowledge and help team members develop to be future ready, thereby creating pool of talented individuals within the team.
- Responsibilities include helping team achieve specified objectives around detection of losses.
- To carry out continuous improvement initiatives in the processes
- Investigations: Empanel Investigators, assign cases, ensure SLA's are maintained and quality adherence
- Innovate: Use of multiple data sources including inventory, POS, store characteristics, demographics, etc. for detection of losses and fraud
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Should have around 8+ years of experience in Risk management and Fraud & Abuse management
- Should have excellent analytical and model building skills and appetite to innovate through use of analytics and varied data sources
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- 5+ years of team management/ leading experience
- Experience of handling a large team (10+ members) of people with diverse experience and exposure in reporting and analytics.
