Manager - Taxation (Direct/Indirect) - Lodha Ventures (CA Mandatory) Key purpose of the job: This individual will lead and manage direct and indirect tax, compliances, audit, assessments and appeals. Provide strategic input related to tax matters. Ensure effective internal control system. Key Accountabilities/ Responsibilities: - Responsible for tax working and ensuing tax compliances within due dates. - Prepare and roll out taxation and compliance framework across the organisation - Ensure maintenance of records for tax provision and compliance process - Responsible for identifying the tax saving opportunities - Responsible for documentation for all tax matters - Responsible for tax assessment and for response to all notices and audit queries - Responsible for updating the management of new rules and regulation in tax. - Responsible for responding to all correspondence and notices. - Manage the audit and audit related queries - Compile data for assessment proceedings with respect to GST - Liaison with external for assessment proceedings. - Coordinate with consultant and get their opinion as and when required. - Manages refund from departments at the earliest. Rebate, Duty draw back, refunds - Review and take proactive steps for tax computation, payment and filing within due dates i.e. for corporate tax, tax audit, transfer pricing, TDS, GST, etc. - Calculation of tax provision, deferred tax, advance tax. - Stakeholder management - key stakeholders tax consultants, internal auditor, external auditor, vendors - Supervise and provide necessary guidance to team to ensure all action required for tax filing are taken on time - Ensure tax payment and filing are within due dates - Review of internal control processes. - Improve information / data flow and automate process to reduce timelines, increase accuracy and enhance efficiency Internal & External Interactions: Internal: HOD of Different Departments External: As per the need. Education & Experience Requirement: - CA Mandatory - 5-10 years of relevant experience. - Knowledge of Direct and indirect tax - Excellent MS Excel skills - Excellent reconciliation skills - Good Interpersonal Skills
