A) Indirect Tax Planning: a. Tax Planning on various new initiatives and day to day transaction to optimising the tax outflow maintaining the high standard of compliance b. Advise and provide necessary technical support from indirect Tax standpoint to the Business in carrying out standard or exceptional operations c. Update latest development & changes in GST Act with appropriate departments and implementation of such changes within organisation d. Representation to Government authorities and active participation in the various association to address any Company / industry related issues B) Indirect Tax Management and Compliance : a. Monitor all GST compliances all-India including accurate filing of tax returns, timely payment of taxes, annual GST audit b. Monitoring the preparing and providing schedules to Statutory Auditors/Accounting team c. Coordination with Tech-Team for GST changes & returns filing d. Building processes and trackers for team to ensure 100 % GST compliances e. Responsible for Audits/assessments including service tax assessment/audit/litigation for pre-GST period f. Monitor all GST compliances including accurate filing of tax returns, timely payment of taxes, annual GST audit C) Managing Tax risks and Tax Litigation a. Manage tax risks and litigation covering for GST, Customs, SVB and erstwhile Indirect taxes such as Central Excise, Service Tax, VAT b. Coordination with external consultant on various Indirect Tax Issues c. Defend the Company's interest in relation to local authorities, public authorities and professional bodies D) Team Development a. Leading the team of 5-7 tax professionals and provide guidance b. Interaction with all cross functional leaders and providing support, guidance for overall effectiveness
