Job Purpose -&nbsp; As a professional Cost Accountant / Chartered Accountant, the Candidate will be part of our Cost Management team and would be responsible for Budgetary control, analysing actual costs and preparing periodic reports comparing Budgeted and actual construction costs for each of our projects. In this role, the candidate would need to have a strong knowledge of Cost Management in a Construction Industry. Understanding of SAP will be advantageous. - Budgetary control, cost analysis and cost management - Have a thorough understanding of various cost elements and work breakdown structure. - Involvement in preparation of construction budgets along with the Design &amp; Cost Optimization team for new projects and review the budgets for existing projects on a periodic basis. - Manage costs within budget and initiate cost optimisation measures. - Take corrective and timely actions wrt to cost management. - Analyse actual costs incurred and to be incurred vis-a-vis life cycle budget and prepare periodic reports of budgeted costs vs actual costs. - Analyse impact due to design, delays, change in specs to determine effects on cost and generally ensuring that construction spend is not wasteful - Develop reporting mechanism on the project cost to senior management with detailed analysis wrt boq, rates etc. - Ensure proper recording of all cost related information in SAP for effective control of expenditure. - Monitoring and controlling construction Discretionary spend at sites and handling all site authorized purchases. - Review policies around construction spends on a periodic basis and document the changes. - Ensure proper accounting of GRNs, service entries and other records at sites and coordinate with site commercial teams and project teams for smooth project execution. Systems and Process Compliance - Coordinate with site commercial and ensure that systems and processes are reviewed and laid down and all policies are followed. - Aid management in taking decisions on cost saving and ensuring proper control mechanisms are put in place. - Ensure highest standards of compliance to Lodha Group's policies, processes and value structure. - Take necessary steps to escalate issues, change norms/policies and ensure on-ground change.
