JOB DESCRIPTION Role : PMS Specialist GENERAL DESCRIPTION : The position provides guidance and counselling on performance management programs and initiatives by developing, coordinating, and implementing the same for the organization. Works under minimal supervision with considerable latitude for initiative and independent judgment. This position reports to the head of performance and rewards ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Performance Management : - Responsible for planning and successfully closing the annual performance management program - Launch and drive the Goal Setting exercise for the organization. - Co-ordinate with business and HR to ensure completion of rating and promotion moderation while ensuring that recommended promotions fulfil the criteria defined in the policy, discuss on exceptional promotion requests and escalate if necessary - Ongoing communication and branding of the entire performance management exercise by preparing the PMS calendar and working closely with the HRBPs and HRMS around plans for communication on schedule and process across site - Analyses and reports on measurement results. - Provides ongoing oversight and support to ensure that performance measures are being an effective and a continual process (round the year) - Provides training on performance management and systems. Also, lead development, testing and launch of online modules for the PMS process - Assist with implementing performance improvement plans. - Responsible for addressing and closing grievances arising from the performance management process in consultation with the HR senior management - Work on transformational projects which includes and may not be limited to revamping and repositioning of the competency assessment models, Promotion and other career advancement frameworks - Continuous assessment of the Performance Pay plans by undertaking efficacy evaluation - Advanced uptake of technology for a better efficiency EDUCATION &amp; EXPERIENCE : - Masters - MBA/PGDM HR from premier Institute - Atleast Three (3) years of direct experience developing, implementing or evaluating performance appraisal systems. - Experience in working in a dynamic working environment while dealing confidently with multiple stake holder, simultaneously. KNOWLEDGE &amp; SKILLS : Knowledge of : - Best practices relating to employee performance management. - Human resources management principles, practices, and procedures. Skills Required : - Proficient in various software programs to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. - Effectively communicator, both orally and written. - Problem Solver - Critical thinking to identify problems, evaluate alternatives, and recommend effective solutions. - Must be able to Influence effectively - Able to adapt to rapid changes in the work environment, manage competing demands and able to deal with frequent change by performing with a sense of urgency without compromising on excellence with a strong commitment to achieving results - Flexible and adaptable toward changes in assignments and work schedules - A committed team player
