Localization Project Manager/Language Specialist - Product Startup

We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Localization Project Manager to join our hyper growing team and the company. As a Localization Manager you will be responsible for ensuring that all of our mobile, web & social media platforms are localized/personalized in multiple Indian regional languages. You will play an integral role in making our customer happy and successful, by making our offerings more accessible to the regional audience.

Our ideal candidate will have strong project management zeal, knack for Indian languages, customer-centric approach, strong communication skills and have worked previously in Localization domain.

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Ensuring translation & transliteration of all the content available on Vahak platforms including mobile app, website & social media channels.

- Manage, hire & train a team of language experts & linguists. Ensuring proper quality check & proofreading before approving a translated content.

- Monitor & define localization systems & workflows for linguists, language experts and vendors so that localization (translation, transliteration, proof-reading) projects can be executed seamlessly.

- Manage & reach out to language agencies & vendors as and when requirement arises. Ensure quality output from external vendors and freelancers.

- Collaborate with Marketing, Customer Support & Product teams to gather, understand localization needs and requirements.

- Oversee localization budget & requirements.

- Collaborate with analysts to track and analyse the performance of different language user cohorts. Identify challenges within a specific language cohorts and come up with solutions and moderations to mitigate them.

- Attend usability studies with product designers to understand customer's use of languages & slangs. Try to incorporate the learnings in our translation projects.

- Be updated with latest localization workflows, tools and systems.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Localization, Language Studies or any other relevant field.

- 2+ years of experience in localization project management, experience in projects involving language launches, creative content, software localization.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Strong attention to detail and bias towards action.

- Customer-centric & problem solving attitude.

- Working knowledge of industry standard localization tools.
