About this opportunity

What you'll do:


Oversee and direct payroll procedures including but not limited to


- Coordinate and agree monthly timekeeping - Agreement on monthly payroll calendars (input, draft output, final output, salary transfer dates)

- Payroll control and compliance including all associated legislative compliance

- Be the point of contact for any communications / liaisons with statutory authorities and manage / interact with stakeholders from other departments (Finance, HR, Legal, Admin etc.)

- Review and approval on draft salary register/additional inputs and seeking clarifications/confirmations if any

- Approval of final pay register, any clarifications our outsourced payroll partner may have on those and any other instructions on payroll that LBG might want to give to our outsourced payroll partner

- Front end audit requirements during audits from HR / Payroll point of view

- Manage and resolve issues, incidents, risk events and answer payroll related questions including being the escalation point in case of any employee issues (our outsourced payroll partner needs to bring to LBG attention)

- Identifying and reporting service performance issues / lack of responsiveness from the supplier, contractual queries, LBG policy compliance etc, ensuring liaison with the Suppler Manager, to ensure awareness / swift resolution

- Manage / coordinate setting up of employee orientation sessions (when needed)

- Point of escalation for any HR Operational issues or complaints which the outsourced helpdesk partner cannot deal with

- Oversight of HR Helpdesk performance including review against agreed Key Performance Indicators and Service Level Agreements, and in collaboration with the HR Helpdesk, identify and deliver improvements to the services and system that enable colleagues to have their queries answered as quickly and efficiently as possible

What you'll need:

- Proven experience as a payroll manager or similar role

- Current knowledge of payroll procedures and related laws

- Familiarity with payroll software

- Experienced in operational practices

- Keen eye for detail

- An analytical mind and good math skills

- Outstanding communication skills (written and oral)
